About My Clients
I specialize in treating adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse and medical illnesses. Individuals come to me seeking help to resolve life stressors: work-life balance, career or school challenges. I strive to provide a warm and non-judgmental environment. I will collaborate with you to develop the tools you need to gain the necessary insights, to manage painful emotions, to address self-defeating behaviors and to increase self-confidence.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. I utilize evidenced based treatments including, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy and Mindfulness. In 2005, I earned my MSW degree during which time I trained at the Tewksbury State Hospital and at the Department of Veteran Affairs. I have over 13 years of experience in working in community mental health on an integrated primary care and behavioral health team.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am passionate about being able to help other individuals who are struggling with issues related to the LGBTQ community.
