About My Clients
My areas of expertise include trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, and the unique stressors experienced by athletes and healthcare providers. I also work with individuals seeking to build healthier, more fulfilling relationships—whether with partners, friends, or family members.
My Background and Approach
I believe that every person has the right to a supported path of self-acceptance and self-appreciation. I have an eclectic approach, pulling from trainings in various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My approach is warm, kind, and patient. It is my goal to provide a judgment-free space to allow clients to process their concerns as well as their achievements. It is my ultimate goal to teach my clients tools and strategies that can be applied in many areas of their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Beginning the counseling process can be intimidating and overwhelming at first, but it is my goal to offer genuine support and help in each step of the process by creating a space that is safe and encouraging. The relationship between client and therapist is crucial in this work and will be prioritized throughout as we build trust and connection. Whether there are pressing present concerns, or patterns from the past that have created barriers, we will work together to address and adjust behaviors and thoughts.
