About My Clients
Often, our past relationships leave us wounded. The story that we tell ourselves becomes permeated with negative thoughts, low self-worth, and shame. As these feelings manifest, we become anxious and depressed. We might experience isolation, loneliness, and a loss of connection to others and to ourselves. Therapy can help us discover perspectives that create a new narrative, one in which we have different ways to manage our emotions and lead a more enjoyable life.
How I Can Help You
I provide a calm, open, and non-judgmental space in which to be curious as we explore your thoughts and feelings. We might look at dreams and body language to access parts of yourself that you have lost touch with or are not aware of yet. I see my role as a facilitator for these explorations, reflecting your whole self and reminding you of or connecting you to your inner truth. I use theoretical orientations such as Jungian depth psychotherapy, modern psychoanalytic interventions, and somatic approaches to understanding my clients and help them connect to different unconscious fragments of themselves. However, the real value in therapy is the nurturing and developing a trusting relationship and the corrective experience that it can offer.
