About My Clients
Lawyers, executives, and entrepreneurs find support and understanding in my practice. You've got a lot going on; your relationship is strained, or your anxiety is increasing. Maybe you and your partner are experiencing higher levels of conflict or disconnect. Maybe you've experienced a recent loss or traumatic event. Or maybe you feel unsatisfied with your life, despite having "everything" you want. Whatever brings you to therapy, you've got an engaged partner in working through it.
My Background and Approach
I'm trained in many types of therapy, and I'm happy to talk about them if you're a therapy nerd like me. My style is active, warm, and eclectic. I am also trained in EMDR. I earned a Master's of Science in Counseling Psychology from Dominican University in 2012. Prior to that, I worked as a teacher and in crisis response for survivors of sexual assault. For two years I worked at what is now North Marin Community Services in their family therapy clinic, and as a therapist in several middle schools. For a year and a half I was a staff therapist at The Spahr Center, serving Marin's LGBTQ and HIV+ populations. From 2017-2019 I worked at New Perspectives Center for Counseling. I've been in private practice since 2019 and absolutely love what I do.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I approach my life and my work through a feminist, anti-oppression, anti-racist, and body-positive perspective. My job as your therapist is to help you find the right resources, both in your community and within yourself, to help you experience the challenges of life in a way that ultimately empowers you and builds your innate resilience.
