About My Clients

I hope to serve those seeking to strengthen their connection with themselves and those around them by empowering their authentic identity. The stressors of everyday life can become overwhelming with the uncertainty of tomorrow. We quickly become filled with anxiety when feeling unprepared for these uncertainties. With our bodies designed for survival, symptoms of anxiety become easily integrated into our daily life, creating the cognitive distortion that life is bleak and unfulfilling.

My Background and Approach

I can help clients gain the necessary tools to feel prepared for tomorrow and create the life they have always envisioned through holistic and evidence-based practices. My approach is to meet them in their healing journey and work to create a safe and nonjudgmental path toward their goals. My personal trauma led me to focus on the wrong things in life in my attempt to heal, which is common for many people who struggle with their mental health. Through my experiences, I learned so much of my life is more in my control than I realized once I understood how much of my worries were outside of my control and how to let go of them. A weight was lifted off my shoulders when I began to focus on being present in my daily life rather than my anxious thoughts. While this didn't solve all of my problems, this shift in perspective felt as if I discovered the key to happiness. I hope to share my discovery with others and empower them to create their happiness.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

With a decade of juvenile justice & delinquency prevention experience, I bring a trauma-informed lens into my clinical work. As a case manager, I supported youth individuals facing delinquent charges in escaping the school-to-prison pipeline through a diversion program. My role ensured the completion of their restorative plan as an alternative to a juvenile record. Once the program gained traction by significantly reducing juvenile delinquency & recidivism rates in my community, I transitioned my role to create & facilitate training workshops for trauma-informed & restorative practices, presented to juvenile justice programs nationwide. Some of my more independent work to further my advocacy for at-risk youth included honing my passion for mental health. I recruited community speakers and facilitated youth mental health awareness panels in Marin County (CA) that targeted a youth advocacy audience, including probation officers, counselors, teachers, and other school faculty members.
