About My Clients
Have you experienced trauma, whether from a cancer diagnosis, difficult relationships, or the grief and loss of someone or something important? You may feel overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, or emotional pain. I provide a compassionate space where we can explore these challenges together, helping you heal, regain control, and find a path forward. Instead of meeting in an office, I meet my clients outdoors and walk beside them as we work toward healing.
My Background and Approach
With a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and extensive training in trauma and mindfulness-based approaches, I bring deep expertise to my practice. My experience spans working with trauma, grief, and relationship issues, equipping me to offer tailored support. By integrating evidence-based techniques and a collaborative approach, I'll help you heal from emotional wounds, manage symptoms, and build a healthier, more fulfilling life. Have you considered trying something different than traditional therapy? I use Walk and Talk therapy to combine the benefits of nature and movement with talk therapy. This approach allows you to engage in therapy while walking outdoors, which can enhance relaxation, clarity, and openness. The natural setting and physical activity help reduce stress and foster a more dynamic, reflective conversation, making it easier to explore and address personal challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the incredible strength and bravery within us all. Life’s challenges, no matter how tough, can spark transformative growth. My own experiences have shown me that we can overcome even the hardest obstacles. I’m a lifelong learner—always diving into podcasts, books, or new topics. Nature fascinates me, and I love identifying birds, tracking animals, and exploring plants. Being called a “nerd” by clients makes me smile because it reflects my endless curiosity and passion. I also give back by volunteering with Firefly Sisterhood, supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and advocating for nature conservation. My Irish Wolfhound, Penny, is training to be a therapy dog and might join our sessions in person or virtually, adding a touch of furry comfort. Through it all, I strive to support and uplift others on their journey to healing and growth.
