About My Clients
My ideal client would be a fat bodied individual who is looking to repair their relationship with food and their body. A client who is interested in seeking freedom from diet culture, and unpacking their fatphobia of themselves and how the world sees them. I work from an anti diet and HAES (health at every size) perspective. I also enjoy working with folks in improving communication skills, assertiveness and mindfulness and folks who need assistance in navigating non monogamous relationships
My Background and Approach
I take a social justice and intersectionality approach. I am a Body Trust Certified Provider who specializes in eating disorders through a social justice lens. I also have extensive training in DBT. I recieved my Bachelors in Social Work from Temple University in Philadelphia, and my Masters in Social Work from Widener University in Chester.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy is really hard. I also don't think it has to be dry and boring. I am a human first, then a bad ass B, then a therapist. I believe in deconstructing and decolonozing therapy approaches and turning to system issues that bring about the majority of our inability to be well.
