About My Clients

Do you struggle with childhood trauma? Addiction? Lgbtq issues? Living neurodivergent? Does it affect your everyday life? Your workplace? Your relationships? Your family? Your wants and desires? Do you feel overwhelmed? Lost? Exhausted? Not understood? Judged? It makes sense. Overcoming a life of pain and suffering is not easy and I understand this is difficult to do, asking for support. I practice what i preach here and have my own support so I am aware of both sides of this experience.

My Background and Approach

I believe people can change when they get the empathy and support that should have been there in the first place. When you work with me you work with someone who works with radical acceptance. I accept you as you are right now at this moment. You do not need to mask, code switch or use professional speech. Be you because that is what therapy is, working with you not the persona you have used to survive. I offer virtual therapy right now and will offer more in the future. As far as forms of therapy it really depends on you and what works in the room. I am a direct therapist and am solution focused. I love a sense of humor and try to make thisI am focused on behavioral therapy when needed. I understand how living in an lgbtq identity affects us in a heteronormative world. Childhood trauma is real and follows us into our adult lives. As someone in the lgbtq community, I understand much of the experiences we go through living in this world. I use humor a lot as much of life is hard enough.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a non religious but spiritual gay man living in San Francisco. I enjoy seeing individuals in the queer community and bring a non judgmental curious mind to each session. I believe mental health can increase our longevity and cure physical illness. I bring humor to life and hope you do to. I have also been a teachers assistant at my graduate school helping future therapists learn the craft. I also train new therapists at my community clinic as they begin their journey. I practice what I preach and attend therapy myself as I see such value in this work. To sum it up, my personal values really come down to empathy, listening, accepting feedback, and being non judgmental.
