About My Clients
I previously worked in corporate finance, and have found a lot of success working with people in the corporate world. Some are contemplating career change, but many are just trying to balance their own mental health needs with ambitious job schedules, and others find that factors internal to themselves keep them from progressing professionally as much as they'd like. All of these are issues ripe for growth and change via therapy.
How I Can Help You
My main clinical focus is anxiety (including panic attacks) and interpersonal issues like reactivity, communication, and boundaries, whether those issues show up at work, at home, or both. I help people who feel like they self-sabotage disengage with those old patterns. I also confidently help clients with depression, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, and substance use. The therapeutic approach I have had the greatest success with (both as practitioner and client) is EMDR, which I have found to produce meaningful change in as little as three sessions with minimal client discomfort. I also use Cognitive Processing Therapy and some other modalities. My approach is somatic/holistic, and I intentionally try to steer clear of over-intellectualized approaches to personal change (which I think constitute too much of modern psychotherapy). There will be times when we just talk through things, but I prioritize helping clients change how they feel, not just how they think.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have found clinical success with a wide variety of clients, and I am a proud advocate for all clients regardless of race, gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, citizenship status, disability, or age.
