About My Clients
I enjoy working with people of all ages, especially teens and young adults who may be exploring their identity and navigating life transitions. My goal is for therapy to be a vehicle to help get you to where you want to go. I believe strongly that therapy is not a "one size fits all" approach, and I trust that a client is the expert in their own life experience. To this end, my approach to therapy is integrative and tailored to the individual wants and needs identified by each client!
My Background and Approach
I received my MS in counseling from Johns Hopkins University in May of 2023. Prior to moving into clinical work, I worked in schools in both school counseling and school-based mental health. I am a licensed graduate professional counselor in both Washington, DC and Maryland. I am also a board-certified counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value social justice, diversity (in all forms be it racial, cultural, cognitive, etc), advocacy, and kindness. I view myself as an ally to groups that have been historically and systemically marginalized in the US such as BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folks. No matter who you are or what you are experiencing that has brought you here, my intention is to walk this journey with you with empathy, compassion, validation, and a lack of judgement.
