About My Clients
I aspire to be an inclusive counselor, welcoming to anyone. I aim to work with individuals, couples, or families on a wide range of concerns including relationship issues, family dynamics, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, trauma, and stress management. I am inclusive and welcoming to all genders, races, sexual orientations, all body sizes, religions, and abilities.
My Background and Approach
Prior to obtaining a masters degree in Counseling and Psychological Services, I have years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked as an Independent Living Skills Specialist, Social Worker, and Mental Health Case Manager. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Luther College and received my masters degree at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. I strongly believe in working collaboratively with clients, as they are the experts on their own life and experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I aspire to be an inclusive counselor welcoming any who identify as LGBTQ+. I strive to embrace feminist theory, and support raising awareness of racial justice. I aim for a collaborative, non-judgemental, and holistic approach and will prioritize your needs to assure your well-being is met. I am committed to working collaboratively with you to find your existing strengths, and providing you with new skills to help manage your symptoms more effectively. I make it a priority to provide a safe space for my clients, particularly those who have experienced abuse, trauma, or neglect.
