About My Clients
I work mainly with adults. Areas of specialty include trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, grief, focus and attention issues, significant life transitions, spirituality, self-esteem, identity, parenting, and relationship conflicts.
My Background and Approach
I work hard to help each client connect more fully with what their heart, mind, and body are telling them right here and right now so that they can utilize this awareness to more choicefully navigate how they make contact with the world around them. I will support you at a pace that you set while offering friendly invitations to challenge yourself in ways that lead to meaningful growth. I stress creating an environment free from judgment, where you will not only be heard but you will also feel heard. If this sounds like what you are looking for, I warmly invite you to reach out to me via phone or email. As far as experience goes, I have been working as a therapist for over 11 years now. I recently completed three years of training through the Gestalt Institute of Pittsburgh, and have over 8 years of training and experience utilizing Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy. I also integrate Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral techniques in my work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a strong advocate and ally for the LGBTQIA+ community. I work to be a force for positive change toward social justice. I believer strongly in what Viktor Frankl once said, “Everything can be taken from a [person] but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.”
