About My Clients

Some of my clinical interests include, but are not limited to, mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, familial and relationship conflict, identity exploration, sexuality-related struggles, and grief. I also specialize in serving the Latinx community, LGBTQIA+, and older adult populations.

My Background and Approach

I use empathy, creativity, curiosity, collaboration, and humor in my therapy approach. I integrate various methods, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Art Therapy. Because therapy isn't one-size-fits-all, I work with clients to find the best approach for their needs. I have developed the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, identities, ages, and abilities. My previous experiences include: (1) conducting individual, group, and couples psychotherapy sessions at USC WorkWell Center, (2) leading mindfulness groups for elementary-age children with Young and Healthy, (3) running enrichment programs for elders with cognitive and physical impairments, and (4) providing crisis counseling through the national crisis text line.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

With my own marginalized identities, lived experiences, and work with clients, I have witnessed the barriers of receiving treatment firsthand, and I understand the significance of having a clinician who is knowledgeable about how our identities impact our journeys. Because of this, cultural humility, social justice, and identity-affirmation are important values that are a part of my practice. My desire to work with underserved groups is part of the reason I am in this field as well.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
