About My Clients
I enjoy working with people across cultures, and I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I specialize in relational issues and I am trained in the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy. I help clients explore how their history impacts them and their relationships in the present, and collaboratively developing strategies to overcome self-limiting beliefs and actions.
My Background and Approach
I work with people from a variety of backgrounds and enjoy helping clients increase their confidence and self-awareness to achieve greater fulfillment in life. My style is warm, earnest, and direct, and I aim to create transformative experiences within the therapy room. My approach includes elements of attachment theory, relational and family systems, psychodynamic theory, and Gestalt therapy. I have a particular passion for helping couples achieve meaningful and healthy relationships by applying my training in the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT). Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the tech field for nearly 15 years. This experience gave me first hand knowledge of the impact of high-intensity work environments, and I enjoy working with clients to navigate workplace challenges and to find the balance between pursuing professional goals and cultivating a fulfilling personal life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We do not become who we are in a vacuum, but instead develop in relation to our family, culture, and context. We may not be responsible for the experiences that shape us, but we can take responsibility for how they impact us moving forward. Pursuing therapy is an important step towards developing an understanding of and appreciation for your past while putting yourself in the driver's seat for how you move forward.
