About My Clients

While I welcome and support all clients, I specialize in serving folx who identify as gender, sexuality, and relationship diverse (GSRD). I provide individual therapy, sex therapy, and couples (+) therapy to support people in meeting their goals for themselves and their relationships. It is never the wrong time to become a better version of yourself. Some come to work through trauma and transitions, while others come for empowerment, self-care, and healthy boundaries.

My Background and Approach

“Study after study has shown that the quality of the relationship between client and therapist is the only reliable and the most powerful predictor of a positive outcome.” I learned this early in my career and I live by it. Throughout therapy, I work with clients to determine the kind of therapeutic relationship that fits them best and we build it together. People are so different. Every experience and every belief shapes the lens through which we view the world. This is why I believe flexibility is needed in therapeutic approach. I keep an ever-growing toolbox so that I can have as many options for my clients as possible. I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Structural Family Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Parent-Child Interaction Training, and I am mindfulness-based.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I developed a love for mental health specifically after having a first, incredible therapist help me through a tumultuous time in my teen years. A trauma had kicked off some depression and panic attacks that I may not have found my way out of without such an adept guide. Having experienced the benefits of therapy firsthand, I was then able to use therapy as an amazing tool intermittently throughout my life. I personally am a member of multiple alternative lifestyles, which gives me lived experience to thoughtfully approach Gender Sexuality and Relationship Diverse folx. While I do not believe that membership in these communities is required to provide quality support, I appreciate that it is a preference for some individuals that their therapist share membership in those communities.
