About My Clients
You love your partner and used to enjoy your time together. Now you find yourselves in the same arguments repeatedly. You feel like you can't do anything right despite trying hard to be a good partner. Your efforts go unnoticed, and intimacy has become difficult, leaving you frustrated and reluctant to try. Conversations end in conflict, creating distance and loneliness. Both of you are tired of arguing and walking on eggshells, feeling stuck and alone.
How I Can Help You
Every day, I help couples like you increase connection, intimacy, and directly communicate about what truly matters, finding their way back to each other. As a couples counselor, I don’t assign blame or figure out who’s at fault. Sometimes one partner hopes to “change” the other, while the other fears being blamed. That’s not what I do. I work to help both of you find solutions. In our sessions, I help you understand the helpful and unhelpful patterns in your relationship and how they interact. You’ll learn to shift these patterns into healthy connections. You will gain a greater understanding of yourself and each other, making it easier to work on your problems. My goal is to help you build and strengthen a healthy relationship. We will meet weekly for 50-minute sessions to achieve the best results. I am real and down-to-earth, using humor while exploring the real challenges and strengths in your relationship.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
When we have empathy for ourselves and understand our own patterns, we have an opportunity to make change, to heal, and to work toward being our best selves. In turn, we have more space to be empathic in our relationships and shift unhelpful patterns into helpful ways of interacting in the world. Outside of the therapy office, I love gardening and being in nature whether that be kayaking, hiking or being at the beach. Connecting with nature helps me feel more grounded, mindful and connected with myself. I am also a Reiki Master and provide reiki for my family and friends.
