About My Clients
Whether your concern is anxiety, despair, burnout, grief, relationship conflict, or something else entirely, I love supporting people from all strolls of life in their growing/healing processes. Trauma-focused work with LGBTQIA+ folks holds a special place for me. Many of my clients sought a therapist who can empathize with being queer, trans, racialized, a "2nd-gen immigrant," multilingual/cultured, and/or neurodivergent. Sometimes it's hard to tell what one wants or needs, and that's ok too.
My Background and Approach
I have 8+ years of experience supporting people as they deepen their understandings of, and embodied connection to, themselves and their environments towards healing trauma. Sessions are grounded in compassionate and curious listening, non-judgment, warmth, and humor. My goal is to co-facilitate a trusting space where clients feel emboldened to ask courageous questions, experiment playfully, challenge themselves lovingly, and embrace "messiness." We'll explore connections between your past, present, and future to access insights and link them with felt/embodied awareness, agency, and change. Along the way, we may disentangle many supposed "shoulds" on how to be/heal and strengthen life-long skills like sustaining curiosity, discernment, and self-attunement to make space for what truly matters to you. I hold a master's degree from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work & Social Research and further training in EMDR, IFS, DBT, trauma-informed somatics/embodiment, and mindfulness.
