About My Clients

The couples, partners, and individuals I work with have various presenting concerns and intersecting identities, but many of them are Latinx/Latina, polyamorous, kinky, neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+ and/or QTPOC. I am passionate about supporting folks who have experienced personal, systemic, sexual, and relational difficulties due to traumatic life events (including systemic oppression) with somatic modalities and techniques to help increase regulation, pleasure, intimacy, ease, and sexual wellness.

What I Specialize In

I am trained as a Marriage & Family Therapist and a Certified Brainspotting Therapist. I am passionate about using attachment-focused and advanced brain & body-based approaches that are informed by Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, and Somatic therapies to help support clients to identify, process, release, and heal from stored negative and traumatic experiences and symptoms. These forms of therapy are highly relational and I will be curious, authentic, compassionate, and human, while situated within the context of a strongly attuned and collaborative therapeutic relationship. I enjoy using brainspotting to support folks looking to build stronger sex and intimacy experiences and with creative types (like artists & actors) looking to expand their creativity and performances. I hold a Masters's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Purdue University, Bachelor's degree in Psychology & Art Therapy from Capital University, and a Certificate in Sex Therapy from U of Wisconsin-Stout

My Values as a Therapist

I center an integrative, relational (one of the strongest predictors of successful therapy), and systemic foundation in my work while embodying other frameworks such as sex positivity, intersectional feminism, cultural responsiveness and respect, anti-oppressive (with a critical of systems approach), pleasure-focused, permission/consent-based, and complex trauma and trauma-informed. As a person living with both privileged and oppressed identities, I understand that you are the expert on your own life, experiences, and identities and I strive to attune to your identities and experiences while recognizing the impact that systems of oppression have on all aspects of life. It is important for me to actively consider power and disrupt hierarchical and traditional power dynamics within the therapy room. I believe that embodied healing work is a radical act and I hold space for creative ways of healing and coping. I value compassion, curiosity, authenticity, creativity, and pleasure.
