About My Clients
My client population primarily comprises BIPOC, sexually and gender-diverse individuals navigating stress, trauma, self-esteem issues, relationship/family conflict, homelessness, depression/anxiety, identity exploration, polyamory, culture-specific challenges, and other life stressors/transitions. I am deeply interested in working with individuals from historically marginalized communities.
My Background and Approach
I strive to co-create a therapeutic space that is as non-hierarchical as possible and driven by curiosity. Our experiences of existing within unjust environments and systems can take a toll on us. As such, my approach to therapy is anti-oppressive and anti-racist and integrates modalities like psychodynamic, feminist-multicultural, person-centered, and narrative therapy. I strive to create a non-judgmental environment where clients feel understood and safe.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a South Asian bisexual immigrant woman, I value an intersectional approach to therapy. We are a sum of all our parts, and each of these facets of our identity desires to feel safe, loved, and accepted. I believe that an inclusive, empowering, and supportive therapeutic environment can be transformational.
