About My Clients
I have worked with a range of clients & life challenges in my years of practice. I see clients ranging from 11yrs old into late adult years; college students struggling with the pressures & demands of school, relationships, and evolving sense of self. Many of my clients are navigating questions about identity and sexuality, as well as explorations of different relationship structures, and their relationship to sex. Almost all are living with feelings of anxiousness and/or depression.
My Background and Approach
My training is in the Expressive Arts Therapies. I tend to take a non-directive approach in sessions, allowing for the client to show up as they are in that moment, and let the session unfold as it needs. I do not use a lot of prescribed protocols, but I will often teach tools for grounding and thought challenging, and strategies for emotion regulation drawing from various mindfulness and self-compassion practices, as well as tools from other approaches such as DBT and IFS. We will set goals at the beginning of treatment that we will use to guide our work. Due to the sessions being virtual, I invite all to use whatever materials for creative expression are available in your home. I am licensed to treat clients in both Vermont and Massachusetts. I have training in DBT, IFS, Mindfulness, Sex-positivity, and experience working with teens and adults in the early stages of gender identity exploration and transition.
