I strive to create a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space for clients who feel burdened with hard feelings. You may be navigating a period of anxiety or depression, struggling with a difficult phase of life, unsure of how to move beyond past experiences, or feeling badly about who you are as a person or loved one. We will create a collaborative and respectful partnership where we can work through these questions together, empowering you to find your path back to joy and calm in your life.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in working with college students through adults, and have particular experience with clients experiencing infertility, adjusting to parenthood or navigating the joys and challenges of older children. I am Gottman-trained in couples therapy and work with couples of all ages, as well as families with adult children, with expertise in inter-cultural, immigrant, and expatriate experiences. Fluent in Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi, in addition to English, I bring a multicultural lens to my work and partner with clients navigating multiple cultures and identities. I operate from a cognitive-behavioral perspective, using my years of experience to incorporate mindfulness, person-centered therapies, attachment theory, and solution-focused work to craft an approach tailored to your needs. Together, we can rediscover your strength, hope, and confidence. Wherever you are in your journey towards wellness, I'll meet you and walk with you in a a collaborative relationship towards healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I welcome and am actively affirming of all sexualities, gender identities, and cultural backgrounds, and have particular experience with LBGTQ+ clients who are navigating the intersection of sexuality and culture or adjusting to life transitions, including parenthood. I am also a Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH).
