Janay’s previous work involved facilitating group therapy on various populations, including those with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, substance abuse disorders, trauma, etc. She specialized in providing CBT, DBT, stress management, self-esteem improvement, and a wide range of groups to meet the needs of her patients.
My Background and Approach
Janay believes that embarking on a therapeutic journey can be life changing. Janay’s theoretical orientation is a combination of Person-Centered, Strengths-Based and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Janay believes that by changing your thought patterns, recognizing your strengths, and building self-esteem, you can create the life you deserve. Janay recognizes that spirituality may play a role in your life and she wants to explore that with you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The therapeutic alliance that's created in therapy can be so healing. I encourage you to laugh, cry, vent, and explore places within you that you didn't even know existed. I will be right there beside you. I also believe spirituality/religion can play a large role in your experience as human and I want to explore that with you.
