About My Clients
As someone who grew up in a dysfunctional or divorced family, you find yourself struggling to cope with overwhelming emotions. Maybe you've experienced parental or complex trauma, and you're wanting to better understand how these childhood experiences are showing up in adulthood. Whether you're feeling exhausted by patterns of people pleasing, perfectionism, and shame, or you're just interested in having a safe & accepting space to share your story, I'm so glad you're here.
My Background and Approach
As a childhood trauma survivor myself, I offer a compassionate & relational counseling style, meeting you where you are with curiosity, warmth, and deep empathy. I enjoy sharing the nerdy science behind trauma & neurobiology, and I like to use humor & authenticity to build genuine relationships with my clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a life-long advocate for human rights & systemic reform, I view clients through a holistic lens that takes into account their unique histories, systemic experiences, familial relationships, personal values, and unique neurobiology. I believe many of us suffer due to social, systemic, and familial expectations that have, over time, forced us to hide, alter, or shame parts of our most authentic selves. I know there’s a ton of options out there, and sometimes it takes time to find the right therapist for you. If it feels like we'd be a good fit and you'd like to chat a bit more, please email me to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. I can't wait to hear from you!
