About My Clients
I work best with clients who want to explore their experiences and seek meaningful change, even if the path forward feels unclear. You may be navigating anxiety, depression, identity or relationship issues, life transitions, difficult emotions, or simply looking to understand yourself more deeply. Whether you are new to therapy or returning, I provide a supportive and genuine space to foster clarity, growth, and self-discovery.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is grounded in psychodynamic and gestalt modalities, emphasizing self-awareness, authenticity, and the exploration of your unique story. I also draw from a variety of other evidence-based techniques, including DBT, CBT, IFS, trauma therapy, and attachment-based work. These approaches allow me to tailor therapy to your needs, whether you’re seeking tools for coping, deeper self-understanding, or healing from past experiences. Inspired by Irvin Yalom’s belief in the power of the therapeutic relationship, I strive to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported. I also think it’s important to be able to give feedback and be direct at times, with your permission. My experience includes working with a diverse range of clients and challenges, including anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, and relationship concerns. Together, we’ll explore your experiences and goals in a way that fosters meaningful growth and lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that effective therapy must acknowledge the context in which we exist—the systems, structures, and environments that shape our sense of self. Our identities and experiences are deeply influenced by these forces, and I strive to create a space where we can explore them openly and honestly. I’m committed to affirming and supporting a diverse range of clients and have extensive personal and professional experience working with individuals from various ethnicities, cultures, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities. My therapeutic work is aligned with my personal social justice work, though of course my focus in therapy is ensuring that your values and experiences lead the process. I believe that therapy should be a space where nothing is off the table, including how our identities—yours and mine—interact within the therapeutic relationship. My goal is to provide a safe space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to explore every part of your story.
