I have experience working with people struggling to manage their anxiety through drugs and unhealthy behaviors. My experience with treating anxiety is to help you understand the core fear that is driving the symptoms and allowing the emotion associated to be expressed and processed. I've helped recovering addicts avoid relapsing by guiding them through a process that makes them realize that their anxiety is a signal for a deeper emotional need.

I believe it's necessary to use clinical skills for anti-racism work in therapy and in the mental health profession overall. The root word for family is familiar, meaning that what we experience in our lives that are familiar to us are rooted in our family experiences. I've worked with family conflict and dysfunction for years and I understand the pain it causes. Parents and children alike benefit from learning a new way to orient themselves in the family relationship. This can lead to deeper connection, independence, and less stress for everyone involved.

My specialty is using NARM to treat complex and developmental trauma and other psychological conditions, including depression, trauma, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflict, and addiction. NARM is a relational model focusing on using curiosity, compassion, and consent for our clients. NARM is informed by principles from attachment theory that go beyond symptom reduction, seeing every human being moving toward a deeper connection to themselves and others.
